The Concord Capitals Continental Paving girls' U14 Red team defeated Mid Fairfield Ct. Stars, 5-3. Mandi Paine (two goals), Dana Stark (goal, assist), Leah Rheault (goal) and Kim Gosselin (goal) led the offense. Annie Mullen had two assists, while Jenna Rheault and Faith Francoeur led a strong team defense. The team also defeated Nashoba Valley, 3-1. Stark and Gosselin (two) netted goals from Maddie Crutchfield and Rheault. Hope Duhaime led the defense.

- The NH Avalanche 97AAA team had a successful weekend in Metro Boston action, outscoring their opponents, 23-4. The Avalanche beat the Springfield Pics, 9-1; the Connecticut Lazers, 12-2; and the first-place Connecticut Wolves, 2-1.

- The Gilford Well Concord Youth Hockey Bantam 4 team split two games this weekend. Concord lost to Nashua, 3-2, with Tyler Kukla and Danny Sanders scoring goals. Concord rebounded, however, beating Lakes Region, 5-1. Mac Cleveland scored the lone goal for Lakes Region. Josh Lambert (two), Sam Labounty, Adam Chauvette and Jacob Veroneau tallied goals, and Cody Herrick and Hagan Otto played strong on defense.

- The American Guardian Septic/Arcomm Communications Henniker Huskies Bantam team finished the weekend with a win and a tie. The Huskies topped Biddeford, 9-0. Curtis Fraser, Simon Hunter and Cameron Woods led the scoring. Henniker battled to a 2-2 tie against the Hollis Cavaliers. Kenny Thomas earned an assist with a perfect feed to Fraser who netted the two Husky goals. Nate Kimball-Barr was strong in net.

- The Northeast Masonry Corp Concord Capitals Squirt 3 team recorded a win and a tie this weekend. Concord defeated Hanover with goals by Matthew Norris (two), Thomas Burns, Bradley Murphy, Josh Larner, and Dan Lebell. Brennan Malone, Jack Philbrick, Bradley Murphy and Josh Johnston played well on defense. Concord tied the Twin Valley Squirt 1 team. Josh Johnston (two) and Bradley Murphy tallied goals with assists from Thomas Burns, Matthew Norris and Daniel LeBell. Thomas Gagne and Colin Holt stood out in net.

Indoor soccer

The Edge defeated the Blue Strom, 3-2, at Field House Sports in Bow. Jared Guyer, Haley Bryan and Mackenzie Gaudet scored for the Edge. Ryan Nickerson and Martin Berard played well in the goal for the Edge.

NHTI results

The NHTI men's Basketball team defeated U-Maine Augusta, 85-69. Stephan Roberts tallied 27 points with six rebounds and three assists. Concord's Jacob Lewis-Hamel (20 points, five rebounds, four assists), Houston Greene (six boards) and Charlie Hepburn (11 points) also played well for the Lynx.

- The NHTI women's Basketball team recorded a 56-39 win over U- Maine Augusta. Belmont's Jonara Woodbury tallied 14 points and nine rebounds. Ashley Harris scored eight points with eight rebounds and Candia's Leah Shadeed had 14 points with nine boards.

Golf results

The Annual Turkey Shoot Scramble at Beaver Meadow was held this weekend with 67 golfers. John Beaudoin, Jim McFall, Lee Denoncourt, Diane Cote-Burk and Dennis Johnson scored the low score at 12-under par. Four teams tied for second at 10-under par. The City of Concord plans on keeping the front nine open as long as weather permits.

PSU results

The Plymouth State University wrestling team finished in 11th place out of 17 schools at the 19th Annual Doug Parker Wrestling Invitational. Dustin Rudy took fourth place in the 165-pound weight class, and senior Josh St. Ours ended up sixth in the 197-pound bracket.
