Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2009-01-07

Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2009-01-07
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Beno Udrih, Shooting guard John Salmons, Small forward Francisco Garcia, Power forward Mikki Moore, Center Brad Miller. Bench -Forward Jason Thompson, Center Spencer Hawes, Guard Bobby Brown, Guard Bobby Jackson, Small Forward Donte' Greene.

PLAYER NOTES:

--C Spencer Hawes returned to the lineup after a four-game absence with an abdominal strain. The second-year player missed all three of his shots while coming off the bench and logged 15 minutes.

--F Kenny Thomas did not play at Chicago on Tuesday, which was surprising only because of what had happened one night before. The veteran had played in a regular-season game for just the third time since Jan. 2, 2008, logging 24 minutes while providing a defensive presence and quality rebounder (eight boards) in the paint.

--G John Salmons needs to find a way to continue producing even as Kevin Martin has returned to the lineup. Yet in the five games since Martin returned from his left ankle injury, Salmons has hit just 23 of 70 shots while averaging 12.8 points per game. He had 12 points on 5-of-12 shooting at Chicago on Tuesday.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--The Kings are healthy.
