Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2008-12-22

Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2008-12-22
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Beno Udrih, Shooting guard John Salmons, Small forward Francisco Garcia, Power forward Spencer Hawes, Center Brad Miller. Bench -- Forward Jason Thompson, Forward Mikki Moore, Guard Bobby Brown, Guard Bobby Jackson, Small forward Donte' Greene.

PLAYER NOTES:

--PG Beno Udrih did not play on Saturday against New Orleans because of a sore left hamstring. The starting point guard said he will likely practice on Sunday and be a game-time decision for Monday's game against the Spurs. When the Kings play at San Antonio, he will be facing the team for which he played his first three seasons.

--G Bobby Jackson was planning on sitting out against his old team on Saturday, with a sore back and sore left Achilles bothering him enough to warrant a game of rest. But when the word came that PG Beno Udrih would be out, Jackson stepped up. He had 12 points, four assists, five rebounds and five turnovers while playing a season-high 35 minutes.

--SF Donte' Greene had already shown he could shine against New Orleans. When the Kings downed the Hornets at New Orleans Arena on Nov. 19, Greene had a career-high 15 points on 5-of-9 shooting in 35 minutes. In the rematch on Saturday, Greene had seven points on 3-of-5 shooting in 19 minutes.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--SG Kevin Martin (left ankle soreness) remains day-to-day, and there is no timetable for his return. Realistically, he is expected to miss at least another week.

--F Kenny Thomas (left calf strain) remains out and is expected to miss at least another week.
