Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2008-12-09

Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2008-12-09
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Beno Udrih, Shooting guard Kevin Martin, Small forward John Salmons, Power forward Spencer Hawes, Center Brad Miller. Bench -- Forward Jason Thompson, Guard Bobby Brown, Guard Bobby Jackson, Small forward Donte' Greene, Guard Quincy Douby, Forward Mikki Moore, Forward Shelden Williams, Forward Kenny Thomas.

PLAYER NOTES:

--F Jason Thompson entered Saturday's game having averaged just 16.6 minutes in the last five games. But against the Nuggets, the rookie whose strong start this season had mostly stalled in recent weeks failed to make the most of increased minutes as he hit just four of 16 shots. Thompson's bright spot, however, was his rebounding. He not only grabbed a career-high 15 in all, but his 10 offensive boards set a Sacramento era rookie record for most offensive rebounds in a game.

--PG Beno Udrih has been quietly piling up subpar performances, and Saturday's game against Denver was no different. The fifth-year player had just four assists and six turnovers, continuing a trend of not taking care of the ball. In the last seven games, Udrih has 30 turnovers.

--SG Kevin Martin played in his second game back from the left ankle injury that kept him out of 12 games on Saturday, but he may miss more time after leaving the game in the third quarter with left ankle soreness. He is considered day-to-day.

Martin, who was just six of 16 shooting in his first game back on Tuesday, was just two of 11 from the field before leaving.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--SG Kevin Martin (left ankle soreness) left Saturday's game against Denver and is day-to-day.
