Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2008-12-05

Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2008-12-05
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Beno Udrih, Shooting guard Kevin Martin, Small forward John Salmons, Power forward Spencer Hawes, Center Brad Miller. Bench -- Forward Mikki Moore, Forward Jason Thompson, Guard Bobby Brown, Guard Bobby Jackson, Guard Quincy Douby, Forward Shelden Williams, Forward Kenny Thomas.

PLAYER NOTES:

--F Mikki Moore has lost his starting job to second-year player Spencer Hawes. Moore, an 11-year veteran, said he will do as asked by coach Reggie Theus and not complain. In his first game off the bench, Moore played 12 minutes. He missed all three of his shots, and grabbed three rebounds.

--F Spencer Hawes has earned himself into the lineup by proving himself on both ends of the floor. Entering play, Hawes was ranked third in the league in total blocks and is known as a versatile scorer. Moore, meanwhile, can boast neither of those traits.

--G Kevin Martin returned to action after missing 12 games with a sprained left ankle. The fifth-year player scored 20 points on 6-of-16 shooting in 33 minutes. Before the game, coach Reggie Theus had said Martin's minutes would be limited to 25.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F John Salmons (strained left thigh) missed Tuesday's game against Utah but will likely play Saturday against Denver.
