Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2008-11-12

Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2008-11-12
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Beno Udrih, Shooting guard John Salmons, Forward Jason Thompson, Power forward Mikki Moore, Center Brad Miller. Bench -- Center Spencer Hawes, Forward Jason Thompson, Guard Bobby Brown, Guard Bobby Jackson, Guard Quincy Douby, Forward Shelden Williams, forward Kenny Thomas.

PLAYER NOTES:

--C Spencer Hawes has just one area of his game that's still coming up short: earning fouls. The second-year center has been otherwise spectacular of late, although his three quick fouls against Detroit in the first half stymied a 13-point, four-rebound effort. He finished with 19 points on 9-of-15 shooting to go with six rebounds.

--F Jason Thompson logged his first career start against Detroit and responded with 15 points and nine rebounds in 40 minutes. The 6-foot-10 rookie played small forward while facing off with the Pistons' Tayshaun Prince (26 points).

--C Brad Miller had a horrific showing against Detroit, not only hitting just 2-of-16 from the field but also committing three turnovers. The final sequence said it all about Miller's night, as his three-point attempt with 36 seconds left and the Kings down four barely hit the rim. On the other end, Miller had a rebound bounce off his hands before Rasheed Wallace grabbed it and the Pistons ran out the clock.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G-F Francisco Garcia (strained right calf) has yet to play in the regular season and is expected to miss at least another week.

--G Kevin Martin (sprained left ankle) did not play against Detroit and is out six to nine more days.
