Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2008-11-06

Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2008-11-06
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Beno Udrih, Shooting guard Kevin Martin, Small forward John Salmons, Power forward Mikki Moore, Center Spencer Hawes. Bench -- Forward Jason Thompson, Guard Bobby Jackson, Guard Quincy Douby, Forward Shelden Williams, forward Kenny Thomas.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Kevin Martin scored 33 points against Memphis on Wednesday, matching the Kings' record for most points in a home opener. Ironically, the mark tied his current coach, Reggie Theus, in that category from his days playing with the organization.

--C Spencer Hawes played well enough to prove he belonged in five games as a starter, but he will likely lose minutes soon with the return of Brad Miller. The veteran center was suspended five games for violating the league's drug policy, and Kings coach Reggie Theus said he expects Miller to play substantial minutes again starting Friday against Minnesota.

--F Mikki Moore finally broke out of his slump against Memphis on Wednesday, grabbing 11 rebounds in 31 minutes to end a trend he simply couldn't continue. In four games coming in, Moore had a combined four rebounds.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G-F Francisco Garcia (strained right calf) missed the regular season opener at Minnesota on Wednesday and is expected to miss at least another 10 days.
