Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2008-10-30

Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2008-10-30
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Beno Udrih, Shooting guard Kevin Martin, Small forward John Salmons, Power forward Mikki Moore, Center Spencer Hawes. Bench -- Forward Jason Thompson, Guard Bobby Jackson, Guard Quincy Douby, Forward Shelden Williams, forward Kenny Thomas.

PLAYER NOTES:

--F Jason Thompson became the first Kings player to post a double-double (18 points and 10 rebounds) in his first NBA game since Jerry Lucas tallied 23 points and 17 rebounds in 1963.

--C Spencer Hawes had six blocks, setting a Sacramento-era record for a Kings player on opening night. Keon Clark and Rodney McCray held the old record, set in 2002 and 1998, respectively.

--G Beno Udrih is his own harshest critic, with his father a close second. And after Udrih's five-turnover night against Minnesota on Wednesday, Udrih said neither one of them would be satisfied with that sort of performance.

"If I play that many minutes (35), I shouldn't have more than two turnovers," Udrih said.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G-F Francisco Garcia (strained right calf) missed the regular season opener at Minnesota on Wednesday and is expected to miss another two to three weeks.
