Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2009-12-06

Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2009-12-06ROTATION: Starters -- Guard Tyreke Evans, Guard Donte' Greene, Small forward Andres Nocioni, Power forward Jason Thompson, Center Spencer Hawes. Bench -Guard Beno Udrih, Guard Sergio Rodriguez, Forward Omri Casspi, Guard Ime Udoka, Forward Kenny Thomas, Guard Sergio Rodriguez.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Tyreke Evans recently won Western Conference Rookie of the Month for late October and November on Tuesday, prompting Kings coach Paul Westphal to crack, "I guess it wasn't luck last month for Tyreke. He can play in December, too." He continued his impressive play against Phoenix on Saturday, scoring 21 points on 8-of-16 shooting while dishing out seven assists and grabbing six rebounds. Evans also had no turnovers while playing nearly 32 minutes.

--F Kenny Thomas continued his revival against Phoenix on Saturday, grabbing 18 rebounds in just 28 minutes. Thomas helped hold Suns F Amare Stoudemire to 18 points on 5-of-13 shooting. After hardly playing the last two seasons, Thomas had a rebound total that was his highest since he grabbed 18 in an April 2006 game. He last surpassed the number in a regular-season game on April 20, 2003 (20 against Boston while playing for Philadelphia). It was his first double-digit rebounding game since he grabbed 11 against Minnesota on Jan. 31, 2007.

--G Sergio Rodriguez scored in double digits for the fourth time in the last six games, tallying 12 points on 5-of-10 shooting against Phoenix on Saturday in 22 minutes. After not playing in four of the Kings' first eight games this season, he has played at least 11 minutes in each of the past seven games.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G/F Francisco Garcia (right wrist fracture) is out at least until mid-February after his exercise-ball accident on Oct. 9.

--G Kevin Martin (hairline fracture in left wrist) is out at least eight weeks after undergoing surgery on Nov. 9.
