Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2009-04-08
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Beno Udrih, Shooting guard Francisco Garcia, Small forward Andres Nocioni, Power forward Jason Thompson, Center Spencer Hawes. Bench -- Guard Bobby Jackson, Guard Rashad McCants, Forward Donte' Greene, Center Calvin Booth.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Kevin Martin did not play for the third straight game because of a sore left ankle that has left a sore spot on his season. Martin sprained the ankle early in the season and would eventually miss 22 games in all with the injury, but had continued to play despite chronic pain. Yet since Martin returned from the injury on Dec. 30, the absences are the first time he missed a game because of the ankle since.

--C Spencer Hawes has always been known as a scorer, but the second-year player is continuing to show he can hit the boards as well. Hawes, who spent just one season at the University of Washington, had 15 rebounds against the Lakers on Tuesday to tie his season high. He entered play averaging 6.9 rebounds per game, which is third among second-year players and 34th in the league overall.

--F Jason Thompson continues to make strides alongside Spencer Hawes, with the young frontcourt giving the Kings a rare reason to be optimistic about their future. Thompson had 18 points and 11 rebounds against the Lakers on Tuesday. He ranks 11th among rookies in scoring (11 points per game) and fourth in rebounding (7.2 per game).

MEDICAL WATCH:

G Kevin Martin (left ankle, day to day).

PG Will Solomon (back stiffness, day to day).
