Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2009-03-22

Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2009-03-22
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Beno Udrih, Shooting guard Kevin Martin, Small forward Francisco Garcia, Power forward Jason Thompson, Center Spencer Hawes. Bench -- Guard Will Solomon, Forward Donte' Greene, Center Calvin Booth, Forward Ike Diogu.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Bobby Jackson decided against having corrective surgery on his fractured left cheek bone on Friday and is expected to return to action for the final stretch of the season. Jackson suffered the injury against Cleveland on last Friday. The veteran, who had been playing his best basketball of the season, did not travel with the team on its current four-game East Coast swing. It is not known if he will play Sunday.

--G Kevin Martin hit 11 free throws (on 12 attempts) in his 30-point outing against New York on Friday and made a bit of Kings' history while doing it. Martin became the fourth player in Kings' history to have three or more seasons with 400-plus free throws.

--G Beno Udrih has been a monumental disappointment for the Kings this season after signing a five-year, $32 million deal last summer. But against the Knicks on Friday, he did everything the Kings hoped he would be doing all season long. He scored efficiently (20 points on 9-of-15 shooting), facilitated responsibly (seven assists, two turnovers) and even hit the glass (seven rebounds).

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G Bobby Jackson (fractured left cheek bone, day-to-day).

--F Andres Nocioni (right quadriceps tendinitis, day-to-day).

--G Rashad McCants (sprained right ankle, day-to-day).
