Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2009-03-18

Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2009-03-18
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Beno Udrih, Shooting guard Kevin Martin, Small forward Francisco Garcia, Power forward Jason Thompson, Center Spencer Hawes. Bench -- Point guard Will Solomon, Guard Rashad McCants, Forward Donte' Greene, Center Calvin Booth.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Bobby Jackson will have corrective surgery on his fractured left cheek bone Friday at the UC Davis Medical Center. Jackson suffered the injury against Cleveland on Friday. The veteran, who had been playing his best basketball of the season, did not travel with the team for its four-game East Coast swing.

--G Rashad McCants hasn't been able to maintain the momentum gained with his 20-point performance against Indiana on March 3. Since hitting all six of his shots in 30 minutes against the Pacers, the recently acquired fourth-year player has averaged 14 minutes in four games and scored a combined 27 points.

--G-F Francisco Garcia had one of his worst games of the season against Atlanta. It wasn't just that Garcia hit 2-of-7 shots or that he had as many turnovers as he did rebounds (three) in 28 minutes. It was that Garcia was among the worst of the Kings' defensive culprits on yet another lackluster night of defending. Atlanta shot 55.8 percent from the field and had a Kings opponents season high 64 points in the paint.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G-F Andres Nocioni (right quad tendinitis, day to day).

--G Bobby Jackson (fractured left cheek bone, out).
