Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2009-03-13

Sacramento Kings Roster Report 2009-03-13
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Bobby Jackson, Shooting guard Kevin Martin, Small forward Andres Nocioni, Power forward Jason Thompson, Center Spencer Hawes. Bench -- Forward Francisco Garcia, Guard Bobby Jackson, Guard Rashad McCants, Guard Will Solomon, Forward Donte' Greene.

PLAYER NOTES:

--F Jason Thompson is the only Kings player to have played in all 64 games, although he hasn't been playing as well of late. His decline in production has coincided with the arrival of forward Andres Nocioni, who has received significant minutes at the power forward spot and often changed the approach taken by Kings coach Kenny Natt on the offensive end. Translation: Thompson simply isn't being fed the ball in the post now like he was before. He had seven points and six rebounds against Oklahoma City on Tuesday and hit three of eight shots.

--G Kevin Martin didn't step on the court for the final 14 minutes and 55 seconds of play against Oklahoma City on Tuesday night. Martin turned his chronically-sore left ankle in the second quarter and told Natt he was stiff, although the shooting guard was available to return. With Martin out, the Kings hit just 8-of-20 shots (40 percent) in the fourth quarter and were 2-of-10 to end the game.

--G-F Francisco Garcia is shooting 80 percent from the field in the last two games (12 of 15 overall) and has hit 75 percent of his threes (six of eight). What's more, the fourth-year swingman has been playing with a right ring finger that has a non-displaced fracture suffered against Indiana on March 3.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G Beno Udrih (sprained right foot, day to day).
