--G Sam Cassell was traded, along with cash considerations, from the Celtics to the Kings in exchange for a conditional second-round pick in the 2015 draft. The 39-year-old Cassell hasn't played for the Celtics this season and may be waived by the Kings.
--The Kings' era under former coach Rick Adelman was defined by his team's offensive greatness, and a large part of that element was a habitually-impressive assist-to-turnover ratio. Yet the Kings have become one of the worst in the league in that department since Adelman left, and they were once again on Wednesday night in Houston against their former coach. They had 21 turnovers and 19 assists. --By allowing just 94 points, the Kings stopped their streak of consecutive games in which they allowed 100-plus points at 15. It was the longest streak in the NBA this season.
