Sacramento Kings Notes, Quotes 2009-11-15

Sacramento Kings Notes, Quotes 2009-11-15--The Kings have made major strides in the rebounding department. After ranking 29th in the league last season in overall rebounds per game (39.1), they entered Friday's game ranked eighth (43.8).

--The Kings' offense has been operating quite well, as first-year coach Paul Westphal's system appears to consistently yield high-percentage shots. Hitting those shots, on the other hand, hasn't been so easy. After ranking 25th in shooting percentage last season (44.7), the Kings entered Friday's game ranked 21st, yet had a lower percentage (44.3).

--After selling out their first home game, the Kings' attendance woes that reached a new low last season have continued. They had 11,751, 10,760, 10,523 and 11,762. They entered Friday's game ranked 29th among 30 teams in average home attendance (12,587).

QUOTE TO NOTE: "I don't think that we are surprised. The media is telling us that we are going to be at the bottom of the (Western Conference), maybe the bottom of the league." -- F Jason Thompson on his team's hot start to the season.
