--F Shareef Abdur-Rahim, who couldn't overcome nearly two years of nagging knee injuries, announced his retirement on Sept. 22 and didn't take long to transition into his next career. The 12-year veteran was added to the Kings' coaching staff as an assistant at the start of training camp and will primarily work with the team's big men.
