Sacramento Kings Notes, Quotes 2009-04-12
--With a loss at the Clippers on Friday, the Kings fell to 5-34 on the road this season. Yet while their mark is the worst in the league this season, it is far better than the franchise's worst road record. In the 1990-91 season, a Kings team that was 24-17 at home won just once in 41 tries away from Arco Arena.

--With three games to go, the Kings are guaranteed to at least finish in a tie for the lowest win total in franchise history. They have 16 wins, which is three less than the Cincinnati Royals teams of 1958-59 (19-53) and 1959-60 (19-56) that are the benchmark for futility. They have already secured their status as the worst Kings team of all time in terms of winning percentage and the worst in the Sacramento era that began in 1985. The 1989-90 Kings went 23-59 and is the worst since they came to their current city.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "I don't know what's going on in their organization there. But if you can get a guy like (Oklahoma's) Blake Griffin as the No. 1 pick, I mean, that's going to be pretty good for any organization. I can guarantee that they weren't trying to lose." -- Clippers center Chris Kaman on the Kings' lack of effort and easy win over the Clippers in the rout.
