Sacramento Kings Notes, Quotes 2009-04-08
--With a loss to the Lakers at Arco Arena on Tuesday, the Kings fell to 11-28 at home. With just two home games remaining, they are certain to finish with the franchise's worst home record since the Cincinnati Royals went 9-21 at home during the 1959-60 season. The Kings must win one of the two final home games to edge those Royals in the winning percentage category and avoid posting the worst home record, percentage-wise, in franchise history. They are already set to go down in history as the worst Kings team at home in the Sacramento era, as the 1989-90 and 1992-93 Kings went 16-25.

--With five games to go, the Kings are still on track to finish as the organization's worst team in its franchise history. They have 16 wins, which is three less than the Cincinnati Royals teams of 1958-59 (19-53) and 1959-60 (19-56) that are the benchmark for futility. They have already secured their status as the worst Kings team in the Sacramento era that began in 1985. The 1989-90 Kings went 23-59 and is the worst since they came to their current city.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "It's changed a lot. There's nothing but Lakers fans here now. It's basically a home game for us. It really was. Things have changed quite a bit." -- Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, on the changed mood he witnessed at Arco Arena on Tuesday.
