Sacramento Kings Notes, Quotes 2009-03-29
--The board for the California Exposition and State Fair voted Friday to extend a letter of understanding with the NBA in regards to ongoing arena talks.

The letter was due to expire on March 31, and the agreement means that talks will continue regarding a possible arena for the Kings. The NBA has been representing the Kings in the matter and is hopeful that a privately-financed plan could come together and result in a new arena no sooner than 2012.

--With the loss to Memphis, the Kings' home record dropped to 10-25. And just as it was once inconceivable that Arco Arena could be the least-attended home venue in the NBA (which it is), it's almost unfathomable that they could be so bad in their own building. Nonetheless, they are well within range of posting the franchise's worst home record since it began in 1948. While the Kings' worst home record since they began playing 82 games in 1967 is 16-25 (both in 1989-90 and 1992-93), their 9-22 home mark in 1956-57 is the worst percentage (.290). At present, the Kings' winning percentage at home is .285.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "Well needless to say, it was a very disappointing loss (Friday night) after having four days off in terms of games. I thought we had four days of good practice but it didn't carry over (on Friday night) unfortunately." -- Kings coach Kenny Natt, on his team's loss to Memphis on Friday night at Arco Arena.
