--The Kings bought out F Drew Gooden's contract and waived him Sunday. Gooden will be eligible for the playoffs if he signs with another team.
--Kings coach Kenny Natt attended the funeral of the late Utah Jazz owner Larry Miller on Saturday. Natt, who was a Jazz assistant for nine seasons, was among some 2,000 attendees at EnergySolutions Arena who were on hand to honor the man who had owned the team since 1985. --The Kings forced the Jazz into 17 turnovers, but they countered their own defensive feistiness by giving up 19 turnovers in Saturday night's loss.
