Sacramento Kings Getting Inside 2009-03-02
If Kenny Natt has a chance to keep the Kings' coaching job for next season, he will have to make the most of the rare practice time his team will have this week.

With seven new players being added just before the trade deadline and enough talent to possibly improve the team's woeful record, Natt's squad has just one game in the coming week and should have ample time to improve the chemistry and execution with the new mix.

The Kings, who lost at Utah on Saturday night, host Indiana on Tuesday and don't play again until hosting Denver on March 8.

Natt's situation remains dire in terms of his job prospects, as the team is just 7-30 since he took over for Reggie Theus on Dec. 15.

According to the Sacramento Bee, the Kings have already secured the option of keeping Natt next season for just under $2 million on a one-year contract. They have until May 1 to decide whether to pick up the option.

UTAH 102, KINGS 89: After fighting to stay close with the Jazz through three-plus quarters at EnergySolutions Arena on Saturday night, the Kings faded fast when Utah's 9-0 run midway through the fourth quarter all but ended it.

Jazz center Mehmet Okur and guard Ronnie Brewer had 26 points apiece as Utah shot 52.6 percent. The Kings were led by Kevin Martin, who had 19 points.
