Kings waive Mikki Moore after trade
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - The Sacramento Kings waived veteran forward Mikki Moore on Thursday night to make room for guard Will Solomon, acquired from Toronto in a three-team trade earlier in the day.

In their fourth trade of the week, the Kings gave a protected second-round pick in 2014 to Boston to land an undisclosed cash payment and Solomon, a backup guard who had been playing overseas for six years before joining the Raptors this fall. Solomon, who averaged 4.9 points and 3.2 assists for Toronto, has a contract that expires this summer.

Sacramento created a space for Solomon on its roster by waiving Moore, an 11-year NBA veteran who joined his eighth team when he signed with the Kings before last season.

Moore, who had one year left on his contract, got only sporadic playing time with Sacramento over the past month after starting 20 games earlier in the year. He played in all 82 games for the Kings last season, starting 79.

After a flurry of moves apparently designed to create salary cap space this summer, Sacramento will head into Friday's game at Memphis with seven players on its roster who have never played a game for the club: Drew Gooden, Rashad McCants, Andres Nocioni, Cedric Simmons, Ike Diogu, Calvin Booth and Solomon.

The Kings, whose 11-44 record is the NBA's worst, also acquired and waived Sam Cassell earlier in the week.
