Garcia averaged 12.3 points and 2.9 rebounds last season as a key part of coach Reggie Theus' rotation, mostly as a reserve. The 6-foot-7 Dominican from the Bronx is entering his fourth pro season with Sacramento.
"It's good to know that I'm going to be here for years to come," said Garcia, a first-round pick in 2005. "This is a great organization that's moving in the right direction. We have the best owners in the league, our general manager is one of the best, and we have a good coaching staff with a lot of talented players."
Garcia would have been a restricted free agent next summer if Sacramento hadn't completed a contract extension by Oct. 31. The Kings report to training camp this weekend.
